I love the food at Applebees. I always get their broccoli Alfredo pasta - and I gotta say, their Alfredo is better than Olive Garden's Alfredo.
We came here at night and ordered at the bar - they were giving free chips and salsa at the bar that night. We also tried their red apple sangria - very smooth and definitely apple-flavored.
Love Applebees, and I plan on returning.

Two stars is actually kind of generous....appetizer was wrong..asked for chicken got beef nschos. Never got our second round of beer because our waiter was running around like crazy...food was average. Took forever to get the check...this visit reminded us of why we hadn't been there for over a year...and not planning on visiting again any time soon

I bit into raw chicken. the manager got to the table, did not let me speak. All she said was "oh you have some raw chicken" scooped it up off my table, didn't apologize. She was probably hoping I didn't already take a picture. The waitress came back said "that's disgusting can I get you a free app" she had more decency than her manager. all I have to say is if I was 30-40 years old it would have been a completely different story with management.

And no, the manager did not take the chicken off my bill.

We have eaten here for years, and I don't know why. Once again, the Carside To Go has failed us. It's usually handled by the bartender in between other things. Called them 15 minutes after the time THEY said our order would be ready, was was told that she is working hard on it because it's such large order. Two of the 2 for 20's seems to challenge them when 3 items are the same pasta dish. Then they try to make my wife pay when I prepaid through the app.
We started doing take out because the would try to stick us in one of their mini tables if it was just 2 of us and acted like we were complicating life by asking to be seated at an adult table.
On the up side,...if they forget you food completely for 30 minutes, the owner will offer you a scoop of ice cream. That makes everything so much better.

We used to enjoy going to Applebees, especially for the lunch menu. But we had dinner there on 6/30 and it soured us on the chain. It took forever for our waitress to bring our drinks. We ordered everything at the same time. My salad and my mother in law's soup came out fast but there was a VERY long wait for entrees. The kids finally got their food but we were all done before my husband, whose food still had not arrived. Meanwhile our waitress started avoiding our table. We had empty drinks and finished plates and she refused to come refill or clear them. Finally I asked to speak to a manager, who miraculously delivered my husband's meal in just a few minutes. Then we had to PAY for his entree because it was still on the check and I was tired of complaining. We will be going to Chilis in Romeoville from now on.
